When I saw the theme of this challenge I started to go through my photos knowing I have tons of road photos. As I was going through my photos I noticed how the roads I travel have changed from the long and winding roads of New Canaan, Connecticut where you can drive all four directions -North, East, West and South all while on the same road trying to go to one destination.
I spent many years travelling those paved roads. I watched how over the years more and more cars were on the road – as were more and more people. Bikers, joggers, walkers. They all crowded the roads.

I traded in those roads in for quieter less traversed roads. Dirt roads are my prefered ways to travel these days. We love to drive around in our Gator and explore – sometimes finding a moose crossing the road!

These are the country roads that John Denver sang about, except for they are in New Hampshire.

These are my photos for Lens-Artist #100 – The Long and Winding Road.
